Jeff Gunnarsson's Biography

Jeff Gunnarsson, Senior Electrical Engineer and Partner, Key Tech

Jeff has led the electronics design for a multitude of medical products, including a pharmaceutical drug compounder, an ultrasonic hemostasis analyzer, a wearable drug infusion instrument, and a sample-to-answer diagnostic system using digital microfluidics and solid-state genetic detection. Many of these instruments are first-of-a-kind technology products that execute assays on disposable fluidic and microfluidic cartridges and are currently on the market as successful commercial products. In addition to his expertise in embedded electronics design, he has extensive experience working on thermal, optical, and fluidic interfaces to disposable cartridges for automated assays. His latest role is lead electrical engineer and system engineer for a novel genetic sequencing product.

Jeff graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS in Electrical Engineering.
