Daniel Filippini's Biography



Daniel Filippini, Professor, Linkoping University

Dr. Daniel Filippini is a professor in applied physics at Linköping University in Sweden. His group, the Optical Devices Laboratory (ODL), focuses on optical chemical sensing and micro fabrication methods. One important area of ODL’s activities is aimed at autonomous lab-on-a-chip devices complementing cell phone capabilities for distributed chemical sensing and diagnostics.

Filippini is co-author of more than 170 peer-reviewed contributions to scientific journals and conferences in applied physics, sensors, analytical chemistry, biosensing and microfabrication fields, has 3 granted patents on optical methods for optical and ubiquitous biosensing.
