Hugo Bissig's Biography

Hugo Bissig, Scientific Researcher, Federal Institute of Metrology METAS

Hugo Bissig has been working since 2007 at METAS in the laboratory flow and hydrometry as a scientist. He is an expert in the development and construction of primary standards for measuring low liquid flow rates and is project leader of European research projects. Additionally, he is also active in the field of gas flow and serves as technical expert for the Swiss Accreditation Service in the field of liquid and gas flow and conformity assessments of flow devices. He obtained his MSc in physics at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. He continued his education with a PhD in soft condensed matter physics and several postdoc positions in this field.
