How well these models perform depend on level of recapitulation of the cardiac biology present in the experimental models as well as the questions being addressed and parameters being measured. While the biology is critical, the successful use of these models to bridge the translational gaps between in vitro cardiomyocyte studies and clinical studies requires considering more than the cardiac biology. |
