Dr. Claudia Meinken is admitted to practise as a German Patent Attorney and as a European Patent Attorney and to act as representative before the European Patent Office (EPO), the German Patent Office (DPMA), the Federal Patent Court (BPatG) and the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM). Claudia Meinken has profound professional experience in several patent law firms and internationally active corporations. Among others she worked for many years on patent- and licensing projects for Aventis Pharma in Germany and in France. Her expertise includes beside others the protection of diagnostics and pharmaceuticals, the enforcement of respective intellectual property rights, the analysis of the freedom-to-operate and the development of strategies for patent protection. During her academic career Claudia Meinken studied chemistry and biochemistry at university of Münster. Being granted an industry scholarship she received her doctor’s degree for a study on olfactory receptors at university of Hohenheim. In addition, she received a diploma awarded by the Centre d’Études Internationales de la Propriété Intellectuelle (CEIPI) for patent litigation in Europe.
