Reinhard Buettner, Director, University Hospital Cologne

Prof. Dr. med. Reinhard Büttner is Professor and Chairman- Institute for Pathology; University Hospital Cologne and Co-founder/Chief Scientific Officer, Targos Germany. He is a member of the German Academy for Sciences; Academia Moguntia and the The North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences in Düsseldorf, Germany. Previously, he was Dean of the Medical Faculty and a Professor and Chairman for Pathology, University of Bonn. He holds an MD degree from the University of Mainz-Germany following residencies at Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen; University of Regensburg (Germany) and post-doctoral work at the Gene Center Munich and MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA. Prof. Büttner has published more than 450 peer-reviewed scientific papers in high-impact journals.
