Arthur Oubrie obtained a Chemistry degree in 1994 from the Radboud University in Nijmegen (NL) and received a PhD in biophysical chemistry from the University of Groningen (NL) in 1999. Following a position as research fellow at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg (Germany), he held a position as assistant professor at the University of East Anglia in Norwich (UK) from 2002-2005, where he built a research group working on the structure and function of various proteins. Arthur switched to pharmaceutical research at Organon in 2005, where he was head of X-ray crystallography and structure-based drug design until July 2011. Since then, he works as CSO at Lead Pharma, coordinating the development of novel medicines against ageing-related diseases. With his colleagues he is also spinning off the contract research organization LP Solutions, which will offer state of the art pharma services to clients.
