Satomi Hirose is a PhD candidate in the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering, Tohoku University in Japan, under the supervision of Prof. Kenichi Funamoto. She also collaborated closely with Prof. Jean-Paul Rieu at the Institute of Light and Matter in Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 in France. She got her B.S. degree from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Tohoku University, and her M.S. degree from the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering, Tohoku University.
