Abdullah Gibriel's Biography

Abdullah Gibriel, Assistant Professor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ahram Canadian University

Dr. Abdullah Gibriel has graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo Univ in Egypt since 2004. He obtained his PhD degree from the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS), Strathclyde Univ (UK). Since 2008, Dr. Gibriel has been working as an assistant Professor in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ahram Canadian University (ACU) in Egypt. Currently he is a postdoctoral research assistant in the Molecular, Cell and Systems Biology, College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences, University of Glasgow, UK.

A unique reporter based microarray platform has been designed to monitor changes in transcription factor activity within cells. The sensitivity, robustness and reproducibility of this platform could be used to deconvolute complexity of cell signaling networks and in drug discovery.
