Dr. Sumathi V. Rao is currently working as Vice President of Formulation Analytical Research Department at Aurobindo Pharma Research center, Hyderabad. She has completed M.Pharm, Ph.D. from M.S. University of Baroda, She has over 20 years experience in the area of Research & Development and Analytical Development in the Pharmaceutical Industry. She is leading a team of 203 research scientists who are involved in analytical methods for Solid dosage farms, Injectables, Oral contraceptives, ophthalmics, nasal delivery system etc., Dr.Sumathi V. Rao has expertise in planning and organizing day-to-day research activities and resolving procedural/ logistical problems as appropriate to the timely completion of research objectives. She is a Principal Monitor for projects from foreign multinationals to be carried out in Aurobindo location and also for all Research Activities out sourced by Aurobindo Pharma to various labs in and outside of India. She is an excellent and effective communicator with relationship management skills & honed analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities. She has a flexible & detail oriented attitude. Plan and lead an audit team for approval of Contract Manufacturing Facility and outsourced testing facility. She is life member of IPA and has many performance awards and several publications in reputed journals.
