Teris Beek's Biography

Teris Beek, Associate Professor, Wageningen University

Teris A. van Beek is Associate Professor in Surface-bound Analytical Chemistry at Wageningen University, The Netherlands (190 papers, H-index 37). His current research focuses on (1) the synthesis and application of organically modified surfaces, and (2) the analysis of surfaces by a variety of techniques including ambient mass spectrometry. Modified surfaces are employed for sensing, bioaffinity or in microfluidics for achieving phase separations. Surface analysis is aimed at either the quality control of surfaces modified under (1) or for rapid determination of natural products in plants or drugs without prior sample preparation.
