Jadesh Yaligar,
Senior Research Fellow,
Singapore Bioimaging Consortium (SBIC)
Jadesh Yaligar received his Ph.D degree in Analytical chemistry from Gulbarga University, India. For post doctoral research he joined to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York in 2006. During his post doctoral research he worked on biomedical MRI/MRS projects involving, role of lactate as surrogate marker of prostate tumor aggressiveness, design of sensitive and effective sequence for editing lactate and metabolomics of body fluids. He joined Singapore Bioimaging Consortium in January 2010 under MRS-MI group. Here in SBIC he worked on multi-model imaging of liver cancer for early biomarkers and molecular imaging of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease towards the pathogenesis obesity & diabetes. Currently his research interest is focused on multi-model imaging of Brown Adipose Tissue (BAT) and its systemic effects on whole body metabolism for antiobesity interventions and understanding the role of high GI diet in ectopic deposition.
