Peter Lansberg's Biography

Peter Lansberg, Managing Director, DNA Biobank Facility, The Durrer Center, Amsterdam

Dr. Lansberg is the director of the Durrer Cardiovascular Genetic Research Center, a Dutch national biobank initiative and senior staff member of the department of Vascular Medicine at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam.
He conducted research for his doctoral thesis, “The molecular basis and treatment of Familial Hypercholesterolemia “, at the University of Amsterdam. Dr Lansberg is the founder and former director of the National FH screening program, the Amsterdam Lipid clinic at the Slotervaart Hospital in Amsterdam and the Dutch Lipid Clinic Network. He is a frequently invited international lecturer on the topics of cardiovascular risk management and lipids and is actively assisting initiatives to establish FH cascade screening programs in Europe, Middle East, South East Asia, Canada and Australia.
