Mr Lim founded KOOPrime in 2000, one of the first companies that focus on healthcare and life science informatics. Since then, Mr Lim has a bioinformatics centre that focus on herbal genomics research in Hong Kong and iGATES BioInnovation, a joint venture with Eu Yan Sang International that focuses on food safety and traceability. In 2011, I3 Precision is spun off with scientists from A*STAR to provide imaging technologies for safe medication. Yet another initiative is the spinoff of Adigenics in 2013 to develop core competence in adipose stem cells banking. In 2014, Cloudseq Pte Ltd is setup and invested to focus on cloud based Next Generation Sequencing. In recognition for the success in innovation, Mr Lim was awarded the Best Entrepreneur, Science & SOC, Centennial Entrepreneurship Awards by National University of Singapore in 2005. In 2011, Mr Lim won the Institute of System Science Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award for his contributions in the field of information technology.
