Dr. Ye was conferred his medical degree from Shanghai Medical University, China in 1996 and PhD from National University of Singapore in 2005. After completion of his PhD, Dr. Ye continued his research at NUMI, NUS and became Principal Investigator in 2008. In 2010, Dr. Ye was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota, USA. In Nov 2014, Dr. Ye returned to Singapore and joined the National Heart Centre Singapore. Dr. Ye’s primary interests lie in the stem cell therapy for cardiovascular regeneration and repair and endothelial cell biology in ischemic heart disease.
