Ashish Yeri,
Bioinformatician,
The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGEN)
My research over the last three years at TGen has spanned areas in population genetics and extracellular RNA (exRNA) biomarker discovery. Over the last two years, I have been involved in various exRNA biomarker discovery projects ranging from neurological disease to brain injuries, where I have spearheaded the informatics analyses. The analysis consists of analyzing next generation sequencing – both whole transcriptomic data and small RNA data along with their clinical phenotypes to aid the discovery of RNA biomarkers. These have resulted in peer-reviewed articles currently under review and I have also presented findings from the exRNA biomarker discovery projects at several conferences (Second North American Saliva Conference, ISEV, ASEMV).
