Wei Li's Biography

Wei Li, Associate Professor, Toho University

Wei Li is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Toho University, Japan.
Dr. Li received B.S. degree from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, China, and he earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Pharmacognosy from the School of Pharmacy, Kitasato University, Japan. Upon graduation, He joined the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Toho University, Japan.
His research interests are in the chemistry and biology of natural products: identification and isolation of novel bioactive natural compounds from medicinal plants. He has published over ninety peer-reviewed research articles on the field of Natural Product Chemistry. In 2009, he was a recipient of the JSP Awards for Young Scientists from the Japanese Society of Pharmacognosy. He is an editor of the Journal of Natural Medicines (Springer).
