A Senior Assistant Professor with the School of Life Sciences, Dr. Ashwini Godbole’s area of research is centered around Ayurvedic Nootropics (Medhyarasayana) and Neurodegeneration & Ayurveda. She is the recipient of multiple fellowships such as The Darshan Shankar Endowment Fund Fellowship, The Department of Biotechnology Post-Doctoral Fellowship and one from Company of Biologist, Cambridge UK and Sarojini Damodaran International Fellowship. She is also the recipient of DST-SERB Start-up Research Grant. She is interested to engage with PhD students, young people interested in designing and executing innovative research programs related to Study of mode of action of nootropic drugs (Medhyarasayana) from Ayurveda as cognitive enhancers; Explore use of Ayurvedic nootropic drugs as preventive and complementary treatment for neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s and Parkinsons’s disease.
