Horst Flotow is a biochemist with more than 15 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and a keen interest in applying biologically relevant assays to drug discovery. He is leading the ETC's HTS group and in charge of the Singapore Screening Centre. After obtaining his Ph.D. from Flinders University of South Australia and Post-Doctoral Research at IUPUI Medical school (Indiana University, USA) and the Friedrich Miescher Institute in Basel, Switzerland, he started at Roche in the UK, working with protein kinases involved in T-cell signal transduction. Moving to Singapore in 1999, he has been involved in developing and running high throughput screening assays for drug discovery in a variety of therapeutic areas.
