I will describe experiments in which we tested whether neural exosomes regulate the development of neural circuits and whether exosome-mediated signaling may be aberrant in in vitro models of a neurodevelopmental disorder using human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC) and in vivo rodent models. I will describe results of quantitative proteomic analysis of exosomes. Together our studies indicate that exosomes have the capacity to influence neuron and circuit development. |
