Dr Alok Kumar Srivastava is a Chief Scientist, Food Safety and Analytical Quality Control dept at CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore. He was Former Head, Food Safety & Analytical Quality Control dept, CFTRI and also Former Director, Referral Food Lab (RFL) at CFTRI Mysore, under authorization of FSSAI. He is Recipient to CSIR-DAAD fellowship for 2 yrs research project in Germany. Foreign assignments to Singapore, Srilanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Germany During 28 years service, developed knowledge in fields of cereal science & technology, baking, rheology, food fortification, oilseed processing, protein quality, food safety, food contaminants, food analytics and quality management. He has 25 research publications in national/ international peer reviewed journals, 5 patents, 5 book chapters, 4 process / technology development He is a Qualified Lead Assessor of ISO, EIC & NABL Quality Management System. He Lead successfully to complete National R&D projects like “Technology for nutritional fortification of wheat flour with micronutrients” (MFPI, GOI) and “Tree-Borne Oilseed processing and Value Addition” (NOVOD, GOI) and many other industrially sponsored projects like “Method Validation” and “Laboratory Establishment” . He is an Editor to Indian Food Industry Journal of AFST (2007-2010). He is the Member of Scientific Panel of FSSAI on ‘Food Contaminants
