Jon Goode's Biography



Jon Goode, Technology and Applications Consultant, Mettler Toledo AutoChem Inc

Jon earned his PhD in Chemical Physics from the University of Edinburgh. He worked for four years for Bruker Optics in the USA before joining the Bruker UK organization in 2003. Jon held the position of Near Infrared Applications Scientist providing technical and applications support to customers and the sales organization. Jon joined METTLER TOLEDO AutoChem in 2006 as a Technical and Applications Consultant for the reaction analysis laboratory and production business and currently is also responsible for business development in the flow chemistry market.

This presentation will focus on an overview of FTIR in situ analysis in industry, chemistry examples showing the rapid optimization of reactions using the combination of flow technology and in situ analysis, the potential for in situ FTIR technology to be used as a Process Analytical Technology (PAT) tool in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production and finally ideas for the future of flow chemistry and in situ analysis.
