Mahender Siripragada, Senior Vice President, Panacea Biotec Ltd

Mahender Rao is currently Senior Vice president and head of API with Panacea Biotec Ltd. The company is engaged in research, development and manufacturing of pharmaceutical and biological product like vaccines. They have their R&D and manufacturing units located in Delhi, Chandigarh region, Baddi and Mumbai. Their facilities are inspected and approved by various national and international agencies like USFDA, WHO etc.
Previously Dr Rao was engaged with Orchid Chemical and Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Chennai and Dr Reddy’s Labs Hyderabad. He played an important role in setting up the R&D, manufacturing facility and scientific man power for the organizations. He is quite active on several committees within and outside. He has published 10 papers in international journals and about 70 patents filed so far. The exposure to R&D, analyticals, IP litigations, regulatory audits, manufacturing of APIs, NCEs and CRAMS projects over 18 years have helped him master the art.
