Fuchou Tang's Biography

Fuchou Tang, Associate Professor/Principle Investigator , Peking University

Fuchou Tang received his Ph.D. degree from Peking University in 2003. He joined BIOPIC of Peking University as a group leader in 2010. His research interests focus on studying gene regulation network in human early embryos and germ cells. His lab systematically developed single cell functional genomics sequencing technologies and used these methods to analyze the dynamics of gene expression network in human pre-implantation embryos as well as primordial germ cells (PGCs). His lab also analysed the dynamics of DNA methylome in human pre-implantation embryos and PGCs, which provides new insights into the critical features of the methylome of human early embryos and germline cells, as well as its functional relation to the regulation of gene expression and the repression of transposable elements. He has published more than twenty papers as corresponding or co-corresponding authors in Cell, Nature, Science, Cell Stem Cell, Genome Research, Cell Research, etc. during the past five years.
