Dr. (Ms.) Harvinder Popli, Managing Director, Zandria Farmaceutica, Delhi is a Pharmaceutical technologist by education, Gold Medalist in Master and Bachelor of Pharmacy, Delhi University. Ph. D from Delhi University, in the year 1990 wherein majority of work was done in association of Toronto University, Canada. Post doctoral and common wealth fellow in Manchester, UK Post graduate in business management from IMS, Delhi.
Dr. Popli has Professional accomplishment of over 25 years in academics and industry in the field of Pharmaceuticals. Skilled in Corporate Development including Licensing & Business Development, Strategic Planning, Commercialization, Market Assessment, Product Development and Project Management with broad network in Pharma & Biotech Industry sectors across the globe.
Dr Popli was associated with Ranbaxy Laboratories for about 13 years in various capacities as Group leader NDDS, GM, Global licensing and business development, Director and Head , In-licensing for Emerging markets and presently working as Director, Corporate development. She was an Assistant Professor and Associate professor in Delhi University specialized in Drug Delivery, Pharmaceutical technology and Pharmaceutical management from year 1990-2000(10 years)
She has been listed amongst top 20 business development professionals out of 20,000 internationally who follows best partnering practices in recent Europlex business developer magazine, Nov 2009 while at Ranbaxy. She has closed number of major licensing deals for pharmaceutical product & technologies and also facilitated launch of more than 40 pharmaceutical drugs including NCE biosimilar and technological barrier products to market for India and other emerging markets for Ranbaxy. She has excellent track record of creating diverse deal structures involving research collaboration & in-licensing opportunities across all therapeutic areas.
Dr. Popli has 70 papers including research, abstracts and articles in reputed journals and Author of five books, 3 chapters in the post graduate books, and 3 US Patents to her credit. She had guided 15 Masters and 2 Ph. D research programmes of Delhi University while in academics.
She has received several medals and research awards from Controlled release Society, Nagai Foundation, British Pharmaceutical Congress, Indian Pharmacy Graduate Association, common wealth Fellowship UK, Drug Delivery partnering association US for contribution in drug delivery. She was also a Member in Board of research studies of leading universities like Narseemonji , Mumbai, Dept of Pharmaceutics, IP University Delhi and Jamia Hamdard Delhi in past.
