Parveen Chhuneja's Biography

Parveen Chhuneja, Geneticist, Punjab Agricultural University

Dr. Parveen Chhuneja is serving Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India in the School of Agricultural Biotechnology for last more than 15 years. She completed Her Ph.D. in 1992 in Genetics. Dr. Parveen is working on Wheat wide hybridization and has transferred more than 20 genes from wild species of wheat. Three of these genes have been designated as Lr57, Lr58 and Yr40. She has published more than 40 papers and has supervised 8 Masters and 5 Doctorate students. She is also mentoring more than 10 pre doctoral and post doctoral fellows.
