Together, these complementary approaches provide precision solutions to help manage disease along the patient cancer journey. These also call for different development, analytical and clinical validation strategies, as well as demonstration of clinical utility. As these assays become more routine and move toward standard of care, it will be important to provide accurate and relevant test performance information. I will discuss the role of standards to ensure quality and allow appropriate interpretation of test results. |
