Antoni Homs i Corbera's Biography

Antoni Homs i Corbera, Senior Researcher, Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia

Dr. Antoni Homs is currently the senior researcher responsible of the Lab-on-a-Chip devices division of Prof. Samitier´s Nanobioengineering laboratory at the Institut de Bioenginyeria de Catalunya (IBEC, Barcelona, ES) since 2009. He graduated in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, Barcelona, ES) in 1999. Later, he received the degrees of Master in Biomedicine, from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB, Barcelona, ES), and Master in Nanomaterials, from the Imperial College (London, UK). He was awarded his PhD on Biomedical Engineering from the UPC in 2005. He also holds an MBA for international executives by IESE. Since 1997 Antoni has been participating in national and international research and development projects in the areas of biomedical devices and systems as a contracted researcher or project leader in several countries both in industries and research centres.
