Dr. Andreu Llobera. PhD in Physics in 2002. Since 2009 he holds a permanent position as researcher at the CSIC-CNM. He has participated in several research projects financed by the Spanish Government and by the European Community, has co-authored more than 75 published articles, with a total of 519 citations and an h factor of 12. He holds four patents and he has contributed with more than 83 works (of which 13 were invited) to international conferences. His research activities include integrated optics devices and photonic lab-on-a-chip platforms, either using silicon and polymer technology. Dr. Llobera was awarded a Starting Grant of the European Research Council in 2008
