Stephen Haswell's Biography



Stephen Haswell, Professor , Deakin’s Centre for Regional and Rural Futures

Stephen Haswell is Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Hull. His current research activities are in the areas of micro-reactors and Lab-on-a-chip technology including the integration of synthetic, biological and analytical methodology. He is author of over 200 research papers, a number of books and patents and is widely known nationally and internationally for his enthusiastic lectures. In 2000 he was awarded the RSC Medal in Analytical Reactions and Reagents sponsored by Merck for his pioneering work in the field of Lab-on-a-chip.
