Mr. Preyojon Dey is a PhD candidate in Materials Science and Engineering at Florida International University. He has extensive experience and expertise in microfluidics, microfluidic control, and microfabrication. Currently engaged in the development of automated microfluidic devices and sensors, he is dedicated to real-time investigations into the impacts of diverse environmental parameters and nanopollutants on aquatic species. Having completed his master's in mechanical engineering from Konkuk University, South Korea, Mr. Dey's work focused on developing an autonomous microfluidic chip with microfluidic oscillators for high-throughput blood plasma filtration. This paved the way for on-chip droplet digital cancer DNA amplification and detection, showcasing his commitment to advancing diagnostic technologies. His academic journey began with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh. Mr. Dey also gained practical experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer and quality assurance engineer in a leading steel manufacturing company in Bangladesh. With a blend of academic excellence and industry experience, Mr. Preyojon Dey brings a valuable perspective to the field of microfluidics, materials science and environment.
