Alan Race's Biography

Alan Race, Research Scientist, National Physical Laboratory

Alan Race is currently a Research Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory. He previously graduated from MEng in Computer Science and Software Engineering (first class honours) at the University of Birmingham in 2010. He then joined the Physical Sciences of Imaging in the Biomedical Sciences Doctoral Training Centre (PSIBS DTC), also at the University of Birmingham. As part of this, he graduated with an MSc (distinction) in 2011, before continuing into the PhD stage to focus on computational tools and algorithms for the interpretation of large mass spectrometry imaging data sets, during which time he was supervised by Josephine Bunch.
