Sitan Yang's Biography



Sitan Yang, Research Assistant, Johns Hopkins University

Sitan Yang received the B.S. degree in Mathematics from Sichuan University, China in 2008, the M.S.E degree in Statistics from Johns Hopkins University in 2010. He is currently finishing the Ph.D. degree in Statistics at Johns Hopkins University. Since 2011, he has been working as an ORISE fellow at the division of Applied Math and Imaging in the center for Devices and Radiological Health, U.S. Food and Drug Administration. His research interests include machine learning, statistical genetics and microarray analysis.

We investigate the predictive performance of a representative set of genomic classifiers under conditions of different feature selection methods and training sample sizes. We analyze these effects using MAQC-II breast cancer as well as simulated datasets.
