Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Randhawa is an assistant Professor at Centre for Material Science and Engineering (CMSE), NIT Hamirpur. Her research interest and experience is mainly in Nanodrugs, self-assembly processes micro and nano-encapsulation etc. She has more than 14 years of research experience in preparation and characterisation of various materials including nanomaterials. Currently she is working on the development of solid lipid nanoparticle as a delivery system for various drugs. She is also working on the development of biosensors. She joined NIT Hamirpur in the year 2009 after completing her brief stint as a science consultant at Optima Innovations, France. She has more than six years of postdoctoral research experience at various countries across the globe. She started out as an RA with Dr. Murali Sastry at NCL, Pune. She worked on immobilisation of protein on fatty acid thin films and Langmuir monolayers at NCL. She worked on sol-gel synthesis of microporous thin films of polymers in Gunma University, Japan with JSPS fellowship. She worked on biominerlisation at CEA, Saclay, France. She has also worked on surface characterisation of solid catalysts and microporous materials at University of Huddersfield, UK. She also worked at Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovations, University of Bradford, UK.
