Dr. Heidrun Holland studied biology at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald. In 2009 she finished her dissertation on analysis of rare intracranial tumors using GTG banding, Multicolor-FISH and genome wide SNP-array karyotyping at the Clinic of Neurosurgery, University Leipzig. As investigator at the TRM Leipzig she leads the project “Authentication, Stability and Identity of Cells”. Mainly focused on cytogenetic and molecular genetic analysis of cells Dr. Holland’s group provides an essential platform of support for the regenerative medicine community. Dr. Holland is involved in recent studies on tumorigenicity in cell therapy and discussion of regulatory processes with PEI and EMA.
