Mengchu Wu, Director of Application Development, Personal Genomics

Dr. Wu is Director of Application Development at Personal Genomics Inc. in Taiwan. Before joining Personal Genomics, Dr. Wu was the Head of NGS Oncology R&D at Vela Diagnostics in Singapore. She was the team leader for the development of Sentosa® SQ automated oncology NGS workflow, the first IVD NGS workflow and assay obtained CE mark and Australian TGA approval.
Dr. Wu has direct hands-on experiences with various Next Generation Sequencing platforms (including Illumina, Ion Torrent and Roche 454), and has managed 20+ research and service projects of a wide range of NGS applications. She is also experienced in interacting with multi-functional teams: Marketing, Production, QARA, Technical support during assay development of NGS based IVD products. Dr. Wu was the Leader of Molecular Genomics Division of the Center for Translational Research and Diagnostics at Cancer Science Institute of Singapore, and was a research fellow at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. She received her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at University of Massachusetts.
