Andreas Schuppert's Biography

Andreas Schuppert, Vice President, Bayer Technology Services GmbH

Prof. Dr. Andreas Schuppert is the key expert for industrial mathematics at Bayer Technology Services GmbH (BTS) in Leverkusen, the technology company of Bayer AG. Additionally he holds a Chair for Data Based Modeling in Computational Engineering Sciences at RWTH Aachen University and is founding director of the Joint Research Center for Computational Biomedicine at RWTH Aachen University (www.combine.rwth-aachen.de)
He received his diploma in Physics and his PhD in mathematics from University Stuttgart in 1984 and 1988, respectively. Additionally he has a degree in economics. 1988 he joined corporate research of the former Hoechst AG and 1998 he moved to corporate engineering of Bayer AG. Today he is responsible for the strategic development computational technologies and computational biology at BTS.
