Daniel Caminada's Biography

Daniel Caminada, Section Head Microdiagnostics, Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology

Dr Daniel Caminada is molecular biologist with a Ph.D from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and now Section Head at CSEM. He has been working in the biotech and diagnostic industry as segment and product manager and has been responsible for the strategy, development, launch and market support of several products and product lines. At CSEM, his team is focusing on applied development of surface and sensing technologies and transfer of these technologies to the life science and diagnostic industry. Further, he is co-initiator of the Thematic Platform IVD, part of the National Thematic Network Biotech, in Switzerland. The platform unites the key stakeholders in diagnostics and promotes technological innovation in a collaborative framework.
