Diana obtained her B. Sc. In Nanotechnology from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 2017. She joined the Erasmus Mundus Master in Nanotechnology, where she had the opportunity to study in KU Leuven and TU Dresden. She did her master thesis at the Chair of “Materials Science and Nanotechnology” from TU Dresden. There she worked with the integration of Janus microswimmers in agglutination assays. After obtaining her master degree in 2019, she joined the group of “Nano-Microsystems for Life Sciences” of the department of “Radioimmunology” at the HZDR. Her research focuses on the integration of gold nanowires in Lab-on-a-chip platforms for impedimetric biosensing.
