Gavi Begtrup, Chief Executive Officer, Eccrine Systems, Inc.

Gavi Begtrup, Ph.D., CTO is the head of technology development and strategy for Eccrine Systems and an expert in nano-scale electromechanical systems. In addition to launching a previous agricultural materials startup, Dr. Begtrup has supported technology commercialization and startup formation for research organizations and venture investment. Dr. Begtrup is the author of popular and scientific articles and holds U.S. patents for novel nanoscale devices. Prior to a career in technical entrepreneurship, Dr. Begtrup was the Policy Advisor for Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, developing legislation in oversight of NASA, DOD, and other federal agencies. Dr. Begtrup received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley and his B.S. from Western Kentucky University.
