Lee Hubble's Biography



Lee Hubble, Senior Research Scientist, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO)

Dr. Lee Hubble is a Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, and a Faculty Affiliate of the Department of Nanoengineering at the University of California, San Diego. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Western Australia, and has a multidisciplinary background in forensic science, nanomaterials, and chemical sensor development. His research is focused on developing novel electrochemical sensor solutions (i.e., chemiresistors, biosensors, wearables) across a range of application areas relating to human protection and human performance. His research interests include hybrid materials for sensing applications, point-of-need diagnostics, and wearable chemical sensors.

Chemiresistor sensor arrays are an emerging molecular fingerprinting technology with the potential for development of low-cost POC diagnostics for disease detection. In this talk, we will detail the chemiresistor array technology and its evolution toward a POC diagnostic for tuberculosis.
