Manlio Tassieri's Biography

Manlio Tassieri, Research Fellow, University of Glasgow

Manlio Tassieri is currently a Research Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering working within the Division of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Glasgow. He graduated as a Chemical Engineer from The University of Naples, ‘‘Federico II’’. He did a PhD in microrheology of semi-flexible polymers at The University of Leeds, where he developed new methods for the mechanical characterization of soft materials and complex fluids and made new discoveries on polymeric dynamics. The aim of his research is to develop new methods to explore high frequency (up to THz) rheology, providing information on the mechanics of molecular interactions.
