James Flynn's Biography

James Flynn, Research Associate, Buck Institute for Research on Aging

James M. Flynn has been a postdoctoral fellow at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging (Novato, CA) since late 2008 in the laboratory of Dr. Simon Melov. Dr. Flynn received his Ph.D. from the department of Cell Biology and Genetics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2008. His current research focuses on mouse models of premature aging and mitochondrial oxidative stress. This line of research has lead to the use of single cell microarray and nanofluidic qPCR to examine the transcriptional changes in age-related disease.
