Doris Hafenbradl's Biography

Doris Hafenbradl, Senior Director, Biofocus

Dr. Doris Hafenbradl joined BioFocus in December 2009 and is responsible for the hit finding activities and the natural products platform in Basel, Switzerland. Doris joined BioFocus from Proteros Biostructures where, as Executive VP, she was responsible for the strategic business and scientific development of the screening and proteins business unit. Prior to this Doris held senior positions within GPC Biotech and Axxima Pharmaceuticals AG, (both in Germany) leading drug discovery efforts to find kinase inhibitors in infectious diseases, inflammation and oncology. At the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation in San Diego (CA, USA) she built a platform for antibacterial drug discovery. Doris holds an MS and PhD in Microbiology from the University of Regensburg, Germany.
