Andres Bratt-Leal, Vice President, Research and Development, Aspen Neuroscience

Andres Bratt-Leal co-founded Aspen Neuroscience with Jeanne Loring, a company focused on developing autologous cell therapies for neurological diseases. Dr. Bratt-Leal received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech and Emory University.

The ability to create pluripotent stem cells from adult cells has created a new tool to study human diseases. We are studying neurons from Parkinson’s patients and neurons from patients with multiple sclerosis on the International Space Station using a 3D culture model to better understand mechanisms of neurodegeneration.
