OverviewWelcome to the Biobanking: Preparation, Storage and Analysis track of the European Lab Automation congress and exhibition. This year's event will be held in the historic city of Hamburg. Biobanking has radically evolved over the past thirty years;
there has been significant development in the quality of frozen samples,
innovations that now include virtual specimens, as well as rapid expansion of
both university-based and commercial biobanks.
With the ever-changing advancements in the emerging fields involved in
the life sciences, there is concurrent pressure to enhance the biobanking
experience. With a demand for high
quality specimens, this track will explore storage and preparation techniques
of extracted cellular material, tissue blocks, wet preparations and human
biological specimens, in order to obtain accurate, reliable and standardised data. Delegates will be able to discuss the best
practices with our Keynote pathologists, managers, regulators and
investigators, who will help to refine protocols and maximise the value of your
biobanks and biorepositories. Our guest
speakers will also address reports, documentation and medico-legal implications
associated with this controvertible field.
Other conference tracks at this event include Chemistry Automation & Liquid Handling, Drug Discovery Automation - HCS & Cell Based Assays, Nano and Microfluidics, Next-Gen Sequencing. Registered delegates will have access to all five meetings ensuring a very cost-effective trip.
