Course Description

This training course will cover from Basic to Advanced training on Biosimilar Characterization using Mass Spectrometry and has been specially designed for scientists from both Industry and Academia. The course will cover the following basic concepts followed by Live Demonstration of Mass Spectrometry from a MS Laboratory.

3. Principles and Applications of Mass Spectrometry in Proteomics as well as Metabolomics

4. Understanding USP Monographs for Biologicals including test for identity, purity using specific examples of Biosimilars.

5. Monoclonal Antibody (MAB) Characterization using MS.

6. Intact Mass Measurement using Mass Spectrometery

7. Peptide Mass Fingerprinting

8. MS/MS based Protein and Peptide Sequencing (Live Demo from MS Laboratory)

9. Detection of Post-Translational Modifications 

10. Proteins and Peptide Quantitation using Mass Spectrometry e.g. ITRAQ
