‘TissueQuant’ – A Colour Intensity Quantification Tool – For Medical Research and Diagnostics

This talk introduces “TissueQuant”, a novel tool for staining intensity quantification and diagnostics. Starting with the need for color intensity quantification, this talk would provide explanation of how this technique of quantification could be useful in quantification of a particular substance of interest in a given biological specimen. Use of such a quantification in a couple of applications each for both medical research and diagnosis and the results of these research projects would be presented. Performance characterization of this technique and a comparative analysis of the results of this technique with that of using Adobe Photoshop also would be provided to demonstrate the reliability of TissueQuant. The talk would conclude with pointers to the different possibilities of use of TissueQuant for a host of other applications.
