Susan Magdaleno, Senior Manager, Life Technologies

Susan Magdaleno is a Senior Manager of Research and Development for Ambion, a part of Life Technologies. Susan and her R&D team developed both the Silencer Select siRNA and the MirVana miRNA mimic and inhibitor functional analysis reagents for use in cell based assays and for in vivo functional analysis. She has extensive working knowledge of siRNA and miRNA applications and functional reagents, cell based assays, delivery of nucleic acid into cells, gene expression measurements, sample preparation and next gen sequencing technologies. Susan received her PhD in Cell Biology from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston TX and completed her post-doctoral training at the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis TN.
