Dr. Makarov has over 30 years of experience in molecular biology and pharmacology. He is founding President of Attagene Inc., a drug discovery company located at Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA. Since 2004, he is a full-time CEO of Attagene. Prior to his employment at Attagene Dr. Makarov was an Associate Professor at Thurston Arthritis Research Center at UNC at Chapel Hill where he studied molecular mechanisms underlying chronic inflammation in autoimmune diseases.
